The Oklahoma City Thunder (7-0) travel to face the Los Angeles Clippers (3-3) tonight at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood.

The Thunder look every bit the defending champions through the season’s first two weeks. Their offense has been efficient, but it’s the defense that stands out — Oklahoma City leads the league with a 104.2 defensive rating and has held three opponents to 101 points or fewer.

The Clippers, meanwhile, have been inconsistent. They’re coming off a 125-point showing against the New Orleans Pelicans, but they’ll be without Kawhi Leonard tonight due to an ankle sprain. Leonard dropped 34 points in Friday’s win over the Pelicans, and his absence leaves a significant scoring and defensive gap.

Prediction

Oklahoma City’s depth, defensive discipline, and continuity give them a clear edge. The Clippers at home can compete, but without Leonard, staying in stride will be tough.
